Maria Andros Secret 7 Video Tips

Alex Jeffreys invited a special guest speaker, Maria Andros – Video Marketing Queen, to our coaching program. YouTube and videos were the topic for the session. I’m going to share with you what I learned and acted upon in this post.

Briefly, why YouTube? Simply, because it is effortless for people to participate and it is easy to watch a video from halfway across the world. YouTube allows access to almost any kind of video imaginable.

From a business point of view you can dominate your niche. With YouTube you can leverage your time with 2 minute videos, it has huge viral potential and it’s free.

Positioning: You can use YouTube to position yourself with long tailed keywords.

  • Look for keywords with less than 500,000 competing websites
  • Search for keywords that aren’t as competitive
  • Create a captivating title
  • Repeat your keywords in the title, description and tags.
  • Fill up you entire description with content, keywords and put in your URL

As Alex Jeffreys has stated during the coaching program, “You can get so much wrong … but if you have the correct people around you can get so much right.” Remember, everyone has a compelling story to tell! So, what’s in the video? Maria’s 7 steps video formula tells it all!

Maria Andros – Secret 7 tips

  1. The Welcome: Everyone likes to be welcomed. Smile and be authentic, even if you’re not in front of the camera. People instantly form a first impression. Tip: Pretend you’re talking to your best friend.
  2. Personal Background Story: Share your story; build a background so your viewer can relate to you.
  3. Credibility: Tell your successes by outlining your achievements.
  4. Your Irresistible offer: If it’s a free product, free e-book or what you’re going to teach them at your website or blog.
  5. Paint the Problem: Find out what frustrates your viewers and emphasize the problem.
  6. Provide a Solution: Teach your viewers something.
  7. Call to Action: Invite your viewer to take action. For example: “Post a comment, share the video, subscribe to my YouTube channel, subscribe and visit my blog at www.julienewman.net.”

So, here is my first video, tell me what you’re thinking!

Newbie Twitter Perception

I have to admit to being in the population that did not understand Twitter. My exposure to Twitter came from negative press. For example, comments about what some stranger is eating, bothersome sales pitches and then the idea of people racing to have thousands of followers. Finally, there is my inner circle claiming Twitter is a haven for porn spam. My immediate thoughts were who cares what’s at the end of someone’s fork. If you have thousands of followers how could you respond to each one?

Alright, after a lot of research a new understanding came about. Looking at Twitter as part of a business changed my perception. The biggest finding was the understanding that individual responses to every follower are not an expectation. You choose the people you want to listen with (follow) and if you don’t like what is being said you un-follow and move on.

The Twitter platform is worldwide with the ability to narrow down specific areas of interest or geographical areas. Also, Twitter can be used as an access point to individuals you normally would not have any contact. Sharing significant information, now that makes sense. Finding the Twitter etiquette and building a structure around relationship building does make Twitter a tool worth learning. I can see how this form of networking will potentially increase my knowledge.

Learning a new way to communicate using social media should be interesting. It is time to take action, no kicking and screaming to the Twitter sign up page for me (viola @julienewman1.) If you are ready to sign up for your own Twitter account go to Twitter.com. If you have been tweeting and have some good tips please share in the comments or let me know your blog post and I will drop by for a visit :)
